No trabajo for you today Part 2

NOTE: As always, click pictures to enlarge.

So I arrived at Centro Cultural, home of the illegal alien day laborer, at about 6:40am this morning. Our protest wasn't scheduled to start until 7am so I was the first one there other than the tax-avoiding criminals.

Naturally I went over to them in an attempt to make friends.

I was greeted by Tracy (seen above) who says that she "volunteers" here "most days." She was expecting us and once again, my reputation proceeded me as she had read my blog. (It's good to have fans) She is the translater for the illegal alien day laborers.

The "nothing to hide" crowd is extremely camera shy, going so far as to run behind trees and walls to avoid having their picture taken. (I enjoy throwing around the Billy the Kid phrase "I'll make ya famous")

If you have read about our previous exploits you know that we succeeded in making them take down the day labor street sign but they do still have this on the Centro Cultural building. No English tranlation provided but I'm guessing that it says "laws? we don't care about no stinking laws."

As noted in a previous post we were extremely successful in keeping our labor laws from being broken today. (See form I-9) Several contracting trucks that slowed down decided that they would prefer to keep going rather than have their law-ignoring behavior documented. (ironic use of that word isn't it)

However some people simply don't care. Myself and Rick (who is an absolute champion) would explain that

1) statistically the majority of the "day laborers" are illegal aliens (plus they and their supporters admit this)

2) hiring them puts you are extreme risk liability wise if they get hurt on your property/job site

3) there is no pre-employment drug screen at a place like this

We were actually successful in sending one potential pick-up to a local Labor Ready to hire a worker instead.

As for the human filth that did take workers... here is their shame:
License plate.

Driver with illegal aliens in the back seat getting my name from an illegal alien advocate, err, I mean, unbiased photographer from The Oregonian. (if you ask him if he is an advocate he will scream at you and no he doesn't have a bussiness card why would you ask, but more on that later)
And here is the genuis taking my picture. It's a constant source of amusement to me to have my picture taken at these events. I always offer to have my picture taken with the photographer if they would like but they always decline.

The guy from MHG lawn service wasn't succesfful in picking someone up but only because he had peed his pants when he saw the camera come out. He actually ripped off the magnectic company sticker on his door. Again, that's MSG Lawn Service at 503-359-0613. Feel free to give them a polite call.

While the illegal alien suppoerts attempt to convince at potential pick-up that they are "doing nothing wrong" there are always two guys assigned to cover license plate numbers.

License plate.

Here we have the criminal alien advocate, err, unbiased reporter from The Oregonian, talking to the potential pick-up while Rick attempts to explain the dangers/illegality of hiring workers here. (The Oregonian photographer was the bigger advocate but purple jacket there is the reporter)

The ironic thing about the camera shy crowd in this case is that it gave me yet another company logo and phone number to post. (In the past I have had these companies beg for me to take their logos down from here but I don't feel sorry for people who support illegal aliens, give them a polite call) That's C & Sons Construction (specializing in siding and breaking the law) who can be reached at 503-984-2796.

Next post: The feeble attempt at a counter protest (if calling the USA "fascist" counts as a protest) and the border erected by the local Catholic church to keep us from using their parking lot... (note to self: look up definition of irony)

No trabajo for you today Part 1

OFIR and the Oregon Minutemen went to Cornelius again today to protest an illegal alien day labor site. For tons of pictures/narrative from previous events see this link.

I found one, and only one, guy who disagreed with us to take a picture with me. Later this guy had the envious job of standing in front of license plate numbers, you know, because nobody is doing anything wrong we just "feel like hiding" those plates.

A great group of Americans stood on the busy street keeping illegal aliens (self admitted, see previous post and also admitted today by their supporters) from working and to bring some public attention to this issue. We got positive honks, waves, thumbs up and the occassional "you're number one" sign with a certain finger.

This nice fella thinks that I'm "number 1." I really do hope that in their culture "F*** you" is a term of endearment because we got a few of those today.

Bottom line: There was no work for illegal alien day laborers today.

I will put the pictures of the vehicles (all three of them) that did pick up in the next post. Plus my pics and narrative on the interesting personalities (Tracy, Ron, etc) who are just really anxious to see their shining faces on my blog and the hastily made counter protest (involving sticks, duct tape and sharpies) that was waged against us. Good stuff.

Oregon's "castle law"

Oregon Supreme Court redefines self-defense
The law does not require a person to avoid or escape a fight with someone else before using deadly force in self-defense, the state Supreme Court ruled Thursday in reversing an Oregon murder conviction.

"The Legislature did not intend to require a person to retreat before using deadly force to defend against the imminent use of deadly physical force by another," the unanimous decision said.

Now we just have to make sure our legislature doesn't try to create a "run and hide like a little girl" law in light of this good ruling.

NOTE: Will be protesting tommorrow, watch for pictures/video when I get home.

It would be laughable if they weren't stealing our money

"But culture - which benefits every Oregonian - cannont survive without public investment. "

Like you I am just not sure how "culture" managed to survive without taxpayer support for all those years. But what do we get for the $10,651,000 that Governor Kulongoski wants to spend on "culture"? (Hint: it's not for the state crime lab so they can solve more rapes)

We get this:

503-986-1200

So you want to make a difference, something like, say, stop the carousel of information. We could never, as lowly citizens, get something like that accomplished... oh wait, we did.

We did it by... calling Jeff Merkley and politely asking him to... scratch that, we COMPLETELY BYPASSED the politicians. We ignored them like they ignore us and took our message to the crime-infested, taxpayer funded, illegal alien love-fest until the media showed up and citizens who may not pay as much attention as you or I took note.

I spoke of "innovative ways" to get a bill passed in the Oregon legislature. You could call up Speaker Jeff Merkley [503-986-1200] and politely ask him to give a hearing to HB 2682 (repeal ORS 181.850) or any of the other 10 sensible immigration bills and see what that gets you. I actually do recommend doing that.

But more effective, write a letter to the editor asking Jeff Merkley to give the bill a hearing. Call him out in public like that.

Maybe two folks who are retired or have a weekday off would print up a banner saying "Jeff Merkley: why won't you give HB 2682 a hearing? Why do you support illegal aliens? 503-986-1200" and go hold the banner on an overpass. (I guarantee that if you are out there a second day the media will show up for you)

How about we all email and ask FOX12 reporter David Wilson to do a story on the Oregon Legislature ignoring the Thatcher/Flores immigration bills and maybe he will stick a microphone in Merkley's face and ask a tough question or two. The media will (sometimes) do the story that viewers want them to cover.

Take the five mintues to send an email or take the few hours of your day to wave a sign explaining just how Merkley refuses to do anything about illegal aliens. You can make a difference.

Why yes I am

I just got home from a Republican Meetup event with keynote speakers Rep Thatcher and Rep Flores talking about their illegal immigration bills. I'll get to all the details (probably in the morning) but the important thing was this:

Daniel: "Hi Miss Thatcher, my name is Daniel."

Rep Thatcher: "Are you the guy who does the blog?"

Another proud moment for me. Again, I'll do a post regarding the meeting and some innovative ways to advance these neccessary bills some time tommorrow.

I'll support the guy who didn't vote to sell out our country

Poll: DeFazio 42, Smith 38
If the November 4th, 2008 general election for U.S. Senate were held today and the candidates were: Peter DeFazio, Democrat or Gordon Smith, Republican, for whom would you vote or are you undecided?

DeFazio [D] 42

Smith [R] 38

The big difference between these two candidates? Their stance on illegal (and increasing legal) immigration.

Scorecard of El Gordo D-

Scorecard of DeFazio B+

If you need a reminder of what Gordon Smith voted for when he said "aye" to S. 2611 here is a partial list:

Grants amnesty to millions (nobody really knows how many millions) of illegal aliens living in the U.S.

Allows illegal aliens to claim Social Security benefits for work performed illegally.

Requires consultation with the Mexican government before construction of fencing along the border.

Grants amnesty to family members of illegal aliens who live outside the country.

Admits hundreds of thousands unskilled “guest workers” through a new guest worker program and gives them a direct path to legal permanent residence and citizenship.

El Gordo sold out our sovereignty, sold out the rule of law, sold out his constituents and sold out every American citizen and legal immigrant. He deserves to be replaced.

Lars writes for Human Events

John Edwards Political Stunt
The political stunt pulled Thursday by trial lawyer and presidential wannabe John Edwards seems unlikely to change the final outcome of 2008 election or even the Democrat Party’s selection of a nominee. But it should cause honest members of both parties to call Edward’s honest[y] and integrity into question anew.

I read Human Events almost everyday online. I was pleasantly suprised to see that Lars had a column. Ann Coulter, Mac Johnson and now Lars Larson.

It's just a "cultural clash"

Study: 1 million sex crimes by illegals
Based on a one-year in-depth study, a researcher estimates there are about 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the United States who have had an average of four victims each.

Schurman-Kauflin concluded that, based on a figure of 12 million illegal immigrants and the fact that more of this population is male than average, sex offenders among illegals make up a higher percentage than offenders in the general population.

But let's not forget, it's just part of their culture, as explained to us by their own representative.

See also: Operation Predator. ICE arrests thousands of sexual predators each year. But still Bush, Kennedy, McCain, the WSJ, Gonzales, Kulongoski and company are willing to let illegal aliens run amok and victimize our women and children in the name of cheap labor and multiculturalism.

Note for all you multicultural proponents: is child rape part of the "diversity" that you want in this country?

If by "objectively false" you mean "literally true"

Another product of our public schools made (yet another) dumb comment about how the fact that illegal aliens come here to commit crimes is "objectively false." Sigh.

Crime #1
EWI (entry without inspection) is a violation of federal law212(a) (6) (A) (I) of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1996 (the INA), "Entry Without Inspection."

Crime #2
Not eligible to work in the United StatesImmigration Reform Act of 1986 (Public Law 99-603)

Or Crime #2
Not eligible for public assistanceTITLE 8 > CHAPTER 14 > SUBCHAPTER I > § 1611

Crime #3
Form I-9“I attest, under penalty of perjury, that I am [not an illegal alien]
I am aware that federal law provides for imprisonment and/or fines for false statements or use of false documents in connection with the completion of this form.

Crime #4
Social Security # (Form I-9, W-4, etc) Identity theft, forgery, perjury
Whose SSN are they using on various forms? The government does offer an ITIN (number exclusively for illegal aliens) but how many criminals approach our government to ask for it?

And those are the ones who aren't selling drugs and raping girls. For more on that see this delightful list. (procured by me from the Oregon DOC, see blog post)

The schools need your money

My favorite position that exists in every school is definitely the job of... homeless liason.

It has to be the easiest job in the world. According to the description of one school district the job involves:

Identify homes students using the following criteria
In the defense of the person who wrote this sentence, I'm sure that they are graduates of a government school system were more emphasis is placed on "homeless liasons" rather than actual, say, "teachers." Grammatical error aside, it lists several (obvious and redundant) homeless situations that a student would be living in.

Then this highly paid, highly trained professional is to take this student and "Immediately enroll all identified homeless students in Gervais School District schools."

I'm not positive but if they are already students doesn't that mean they are in school? Or maybe Gervais is hording the homeless kids from other schools.

But seriously, this could create a problem because as I said before, every school has one of these liasons so it may be a very competitive environment to lure the homeless to their particular school district.

I'm imagining something similar to the way that colleges recruit athletes except geared to the homeless:

Gervais school district homeless liason: "We've got some great barrels just outside our elementary school, at least three of them, that can be used as makeshift fire pits to stay warm in the winter."

Potential homeless student: "Pffft, the Portland school district offers fire barrels and they say the local soup kitchen puts actual meat in the soups!"

Portland school district homeless liason: "Don't forget about that rigorous de-lousing program that I mentioned!"

The ultimate irony of this picture is that companies (I've seen both tax and furniture lately) will pay you to stand on the street and wave a sign. But maybe she's too busy...

Deport him for so many reasons

From liberal rag "The Nation"

McCain? Hagel? No, Gordon Smith Emerges As GOP Maverick
If you are looking for a maverick Republican in the Senate, consider Oregon Senator Gordon Smith.

Republicans were furious with the senator. Democrats were delighted on one hand – it is always good to have a member of the president's party unleash on the White House – but frustrated on another, since Smith poke at the president made it harder dismiss him as "just another Republican" going into the 2008 election season.

When the Senate voted on a plan advanced by Senate Democratic leaders to try and begin a troop withdrawal from Iraq within 120 days in Iraq – with a goal of getting all U.S. troops out by March 2008 – Smith was the sole Republican to cast an anti-war vote.

It's always bad when the folks who defend communist spies are trumpeting for a Republican senator. It should be embarrassing for the Oregon GOP, though not quite as embarrassing as when we had Packwood, to have Gordon Smith being the liberal darling.

Update on our "friends" from Mexico

Another suspect arrested in bust
The number of defendants charged in the “Ice Breaker” drug-distribution investigation rose to 17 on Tuesday, as a 29-year-old man turned himself in to Benton County jail and was arraigned on a single count of racketeering.

According to jail records, five of the defendants in the case are have ICE holds, which means that there is some question about their immigration status. Jesus Ortiz, Raul Becerra-Cardenas, Constancio Munoz-Hernandez, Isidro Linares and Pablo Desantiago-Puente all have ICE holds, according to the jail. ICE would not comment on the status of the defendants.

See original post and story here. (I'll have to check the comments section to see if anyone took me up on my bet that at least three of these guys were illegal aliens)

Alberto Gonzales Is Spanish for David Souter

As far as I'm concerned: good riddance. The only problem is that I would like to get rid of this racist, abortion loving moron on my terms rather than at the hands of a democrat lynch mob. (motto: being two-faced is a sign of our diversity) Republicans should take this opportunity to tell Bush that after the absolutely wonderful Ashcroft we deserve better than Gonzales.

Should Gonzales Go?
(Well written article at Human Events)

And for those who missed the "paper trail" that does exist, as documented by me, you can see it at this post. (regarding the possibility that he would be nominated to "the comittee on deciding what our laws should be" also known as the Supreme Court)

Dozens Arrested in Oregon Pot Bust
Today, the Drug Enforcement Administration announced the arrest of dozens of persons who are suspected to be involved in a sophisticated drug trafficking network. The arrests took place after an eight month investigation which culminated in the service of numerous federal search and arrest warrants in and around the Eugene, Oregon area.

During the course of the investigation, Federal and State authorities identified a sophisticated drug trafficking organization that was importing and distributing heroin, methamphetamine and cocaine in Oregon, California, and Washington. The criminal organization directed the importation of the illicit drugs from Mexico and then arranged for its transportation and eventual distribution in Oregon and elsewhere.

...participating agencies include the Oregon State Police; Springfield Police Department; Eugene Police Department; Lane County Sheriff’s Office; Linn County Sheriff’s Office; Immigration & Customs Enforcement; Federal Bureau of Investigation; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms; United States Marshal’s Service; Junction City Police Department; Corvallis Police Department; Benton County Sheriff’s Office; and the Cottage Grove Police Department.

This is coming on the heels of another major bust in Oregon. Is NAFTA/CAFTA here to make sure that Mexico/Central America can import drugs with impunity? Why is it that every few days we here about a "huge" find of yet another "sophisticated" drug ring that is bringing drugs from Mexico to the west coast?

I've done the post several times but the DEA's official site for Oregon says that we get most of our drugs from Mexico. "Mexican drug trafficking organizations dominate the illicit drug market in Oregon."

How about we stop letting the mules come here, hiding in a sea of other criminal aliens, and make this state a little less drug friendly.

Protest videos

That is The Oregonian's version.

This is where we see the protestors as the "authority problem" children that they are. You can describe the "peace" crowd in all the glowing terms that you want (and take video of their feet if you are a Fishwrapper reporter) but why is it that the riot police have to come out if there are no problems?

Representing the jobless, potsmokers of America

Like, dude, we are sooo mainstream. But like, the coolest part is our like, understanding of global conflict and ummm, like geopolitical stuff.

Like, don't enlarge the picture dude cause then you might see that we don't know how to spell "Cheney."

Yeah, dude, mainstream.

Just another Sunday in Portland.

Or you could just keep calling me names

Ok, other than to proclaim that I'm "racist" or "nativist" or "whateverist" can I please here the actual legal/moral/whatever argument in favor of: (pick as many as you support)

a) open borders

b) amnesty for current lawbreakers (this includes lawbreakers who "have committed document fraud" [this is at the request of groups like CAUSA] or other laws such as tax evasion, perjury, etc)

c) an increase in legal immigration (this could be in the form of H1B visas or for low skilled laborers)

I am really looking for a cogent argument. "They pay taxes" is not going to cut it.

Big bust in little Mexico

Drug Bust Biggest Ever in Corvallis, Oregon
Working with several other agencies, Corvallis Police busted a drug ring Tuesday that they say supplied many pounds of meth and cocaine to the mid-valley each week. Police anticipate that the amount of drugs being moved dwarfed anything the city has ever seen.

[Captain Jonathan M. Sassaman of the Corvallis Police Department] says the investigation revealed that “La Poderosa Mexican Store” located at 1411 NW 9th Street in Corvallis, “Gregorios Auto Body” located at 4079 SE 3rd Street in Corvallis and “Del Valle Mexican Store” located at 1339 Monmouth Street, Independence, Oregon were used as cover for the drug trafficking and money laundering operations of the organization.

And the arrested:
Isidro Linares Andrade
Ricardo Linarez Andrade
Irma Linares Munguia
Ashley Nicole Palomo
Jesus Monroy Lopez
Jorge Soto Aquino
Gregorio Hernandez
Jose Bernal Ortiz
Manuel Salgado Lujano
Nadia Fabiola Legorreta
Raul Becerra Cardenas
John Smith
Ok you caught me, the last name I made up.

These folks are NOT lodged in the Benton County Jail (or have not been added to the list yet) so I can't check for ICE holds. Anyone want to put a gentlemen's wager that we have at least 3 "hardworking immigrants" in the bunch?

But remember, we can't deport them because it would "break up families."

Or perhaps we will finally get a defense attorney brave enough to use the "it's part of their culture" defense. I mean, we have Mexicans (again, willing to make a bet here) selling drugs that originated from... Mexico (betting double or nothing on this one) and selling them out of... Mexican stores.

If only there was some sort of pattern here that we could identify.

Is it Oregon or is it Mexico? (hint: it's Woodburn)

**UPDATE** "Most of the defendants spoke Spanish and were accompanied by a translator."
From the Corvallis Gazette-Times story. Still no sign of these folks in the Benton or Polk county jail lists.

Read this column

Court Rediscovers 2nd Amendment, Liberals Fear Other 'Rights' May Soon be Found
Tragedy struck leftists all across America last week when a federal appeals court reviewing the District of Columbia’s handgun ban, ruled that the right of the people to keep and bear arms cannot be infringed upon by the District. The court's inexplicable ruling was based on a "radical" interpretation of the recently rediscovered 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, which reads:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Read this whole column. Mac Johnson writes a great column about this great court victory for Americans and freedom.

Won't you be my neighbor

Washington County Sheriff's Office Forced Release Report
The Washington County Jail has the capacity to house 572 inmates. Typically, about 53 offenders are booked into the jail each day (19,329 in 2006). Often, there are not enough beds to hold all the inmates who require lodging. When jail beds are full and no other release options are available, the jail is forced to release inmates.

The charges that appear on this site are only Washington County arrests. Most of these offenders have numerous arrests in other counties and states. The law prohibits the Sheriff's Office from publishing those arrests.
I challenge any state legislator to defend that particular law and to explain why it shouldn't be changed. You can see the release report for Washington County at that link along with the "top ten" released from the previous week. For example we have one person who was released with the following charges:

I sure am glad that she's out because I really need a babysitter for Friday...

Keep in mind that this was my initial research. I heard about the horrors that are going on up in Washington with forced release (heard on the Lars Larson show) and thought hmmm, what's going on in my county.

What is it going to take to keep these people in jail? Can we have a public vote on whether to take the money that we currently spend on Spanish language books/videos/dvd's for the Library and instead spend it on incarcerating people who are charged with more crimes than the average public school graduate can count?

White devils

Oregon DOC Handbook of Religious Beliefs
The Nation of Islam is an Afro-American religion.

Humankind was originally black until an evil scientist created a race of white people through genetic engineering. These white people turned out to be devils. The religion of the white devils was Christianity, while that of the original black people was Islam.

Allah allowed the race of white devils to rule the world for 6,000 years, a period about to end with the destruction of the world, after which a new world will be ruled by a nation of righteous Blacks.

I see.

Oh yeah, I've heard of her... or is it him?

I never thought I would hear the term "headliner drag queen performer" but I guess at the U of O anything is possible...

And machines don't sell drugs or rape young girls

Problem as identified by the Oregon Department of Agriculture:

It is estimated that 50 percent to 70 percent of the workers may be undocumented for legal residence in the US. However, because growers must accept any documentation presented to them that appears legal or face discrimination lawsuits, the workers are employed. Even with the ability to check Social Security numbers, it is difficult to determine legal status.
(I am assuming that they consider crime to be a problem)

As noted in the Capital Press photo of the cucumber picker, mechanization is being accelerated due to labor costs and availability concerns. Similar machinery is available or being developed for asparagus, caneberries, wine grapes, and other crops. While fresh market produce—which brings a higher premium than products destined for processing—may retain more hand labor, much of the production will shift to mechanization in coming years as global forces continue to grind away at agriculture’s ability to remain profitable.

And there you have it. We will replace illegal aliens (in the fields) with machines. So where does that leave our illegal aliens that are picking berries? They are unskilled, uneducated and are criminals... I know, let's give them amnesty because I'm sure they have a lot to contribute to our society.

SEIU protest

For pictures/narrative of today's illegal alien protest at the SEIU building go see my friend Allen of Salem's blog. I can't make every one of these events but am very heartened to see that many went out today to hold the folks at SEIU accountable for screwing the American worker.

It's for the kids

The City of Portland was awarded a federal grant to develop a comprehensive signing system for Portland's bikeways.

By "awarded a federal grant" they mean "given your tax dollars."

By the beginning of April 2005, PDOT had installed close to 400 of more than 800 planned signs before we ran out of money.

Now there is some good budgeting. Wonder what would happen if citizens only payed half of their taxes before "running out of money."

Using some additional funding from the Office of Transportation's Community and School Traffic Safety Program, we will be installing more signs, primarily in Northwest Portland.

The filthy rat liberals are taking money from a school safety program (liberal motto: "It's for the kids") and using it to provide "bike destination signs."

You can see the rest of this nonsense at the Portland Transportion website (including an exciting idea for a bike "kiosk").

Because you have an extra hour to waste

Here's a fun excercise:

Go to http://www.mapquest.com/ and plug in the start and stop address for your morning commute. Scroll down and look at the estimated time it will take.

Now go to http://www.trimet.org/ and do the same thing.

When your on the bus/max you can spend that extra hour commute time talking earnestly to your favorite city planner/urban designer because I'm sure that they are taking mass transit to their job. Really sure.

Fun with junk mail

I just got some junk mail from that illegal alien loving company, Bank of America. Inside this junk mail is an evelope with "no postage neccessary if mailed in the United States." (notice it says nothing about Mexico... hmmmm)

This means that BofA pays the postage. Now I could throw this envelope away... or I could fill it full of washers and mail it back with a note indicating that their support of illegal aliens has not only assured that I will never do business with them but that it has now cost them a few bucks postage!

Oh yes, "clearly"

Wash state suing feds over immigrant kids' health coverage
Washington is suing the federal government over a new rule that makes it tougher to get medical coverage for infants born in the U.S. to illegal immigrants.

Gov. Chris Gregoire, a Democrat, said the policy is immoral, adds to the cost of medical care and clearly violates the infants' constitutional rights.

The state sued the Department of Health and Human Services in U.S. District Court in Tacoma on Monday. The government has 60 days to respond.

So your tax dollars are being used to sue (and defend against the suit) over the "constitutional right" of anchor babies to have taxpayer funded health care.

What has become of this country and WHERE THE HECK DID CHRISTINE GREGOIRE LEARN CONSITUTIONAL LAW?!?!? "Clearly" she should get a refund for that education.

Government schools are a miserable failure

This is the "now hiring" list for the Hillsboro school district. There is one position that they are hiring a "teacher" for and the job is Teacher ESL/Spanish Literacy. I am saddened to hear that the poor part time worker (summer off, two weeks at Christmas, week in Spring and every holiday known to man) can make $68,891/year.

Some of the other jobs:
Hispanic Community Outreach Worker
REA2/Teen Mom
Licensed Practical Nurse Substitute
Bilingual Assistant Substitute

and various administrators.

The Hillsboro school district should be shut down and parents given the option to send their children elsewhere. If you are a teacher and you worry about "class size" then why don't you harp on your school board to hire less Hispanic Community Outreach Worker's and more teachers?

Rally agaist illegal alien supporters!

Happy blogoversary

It has been two years today since I started this blog. On this day in 2005 I did my first post on the Carousel of Information. (since shut down, thank you very much)

In March I did posts bashing the idea (since passed) of restricting payday loans and caught school superintendent Susan Castillo about to go to a strip club to celebrate abortion. Again, a thank you very much, because she cancelled.

(I'm two for three at this point)

I also did some bashing of Lewis & Clark and Reed college and a lot more.

Thanks to all of you who have been reading/commenting over the years. Looking back I know that this blog has done some good and had some influence. (plus when I try real hard I can be kind of funny I think)

If you haven't been reading that long it's worth a look-back at some of my earlier stuff. You will see that I'm remarkably consistent and consistently remarkable. (yeah, just came up that right now on the spot... copyright 2007)

[insert something here about John Edwards sexual tendencies]

If looking back at my earlier posts is interesting you should look at all the pictures I have taken that reside in my "blog pics" folder!

Keep your values off my children

Working Definition of Cultural Competency
Cultural competence is based on a commitment to social justice and equity.

...cultural competence requires that individuals and organizations:

a) Have a defined set of values and principles
b) Demonstrate the capacity to 1) value diversity

This is from the ODE website. The definition of "cultural competency" varies at government site and agency. What is very clear is that when the libs suggest that "values" shouldn't be taught in school they are liars. Big fat liars. They may even be faggots like that John Edwards fellow.

There is no such thing as "values neutral." You can either teach the value of patriotism or the value of pluralism. You can teach that America's culture is superior or that multiculturalism (the stoning of rape victims for example) is the way to go.

You can teach that homosexuality is a deviant practice or that it is perfectly acceptable. You can teach that drug use is wrong or just suggest that kids use clean needles.

I have a defined set of values but most of them are not welcome in the government schools. I guess it's up to Susan Castillo to define what values are appropriate for my kids.

NOTE: I am a big fan of "social justice" as long as we are talking about justice that involves (I was literally in the middle of this sentence when my wife just made a crack about giving my guns "to the poor because the poor can't afford them" so now my sentence will be changed) taking funds that would otherwise be dedicated to public art and instead buying guns "for the poor." Yeah, that works.

Dorchester update (or Republicans are dumb)

The latest news from Dorchester is... that I don't care. Sure I've read a few posts that some of my fellow bloggers have put out there but I'm not at all excited about a political convention that was founded by Bob "sexual harrasser" Packwood for liberal Republicans.

To be honest I'm not real interested in any Republican meeting at this point because aren't they all liberals? I mean sure we have one or two conservatives here in Oregon (take a bow Rep Thatcher) but it seems that more and more we have spineless sissies [not] representing us.

Having an -R next to your name means that you DON'T vote for higher taxes. And when it's proposed how about calling a news conference and highlighting some ridiculous spending. Imagine if instead of crying like a little girl about "well we need to fund the state police somehow" why don't you suggest firing this list of people and hiring cops instead!

And do it publicly. Get yourself on the news. You can even chuckle when you ask the public if they want Gloria M. Anderson, Cultural Competency/Confidentiality Coordinator, or a state trooper keeping drunks and drugs off our roads.

I'll allow a giggle when you suggest firing James Mason, Multicultural Health Program Director, and hiring a trooper.

Heck, give it a good guffaw during the part about Amber Isaac, Bilingual Kinship, and geniunely ask the voters of Oregon if we would rather have her or a crime lab technician.

Why don't you gutless jellyfish do something like that? Don't sit around going "woes me, we are in the minority" and get steamrolled. SAY SOMETHING OUTRAGEOUS. Next time there is a hearing on gay marriage, err, civil unions, spend 4 hours talking about how homosexuality is a CHOICE! Watch some democrats heads spin. Stop conceding half the battle before the debate even starts.

Until then, forgive me if I don't give a crap about Dorchester you amnesty loving, tax raising, government increasing, stupid law creating, cave-in bunch of embarrassments to the Republican party.

I take you guys much more seriously now...

Good old "Causa", my amnesty loving friends, have a great link to Latinos Unidos Siempre (translated means: still young enough to not be statutory rapists) on MySpace. Now keep in mind that while you are viewing this serious website I hope that your speakers are up so that you can hear what these "Latino youth" are all about.

And I quote:
"What up my peeps out there if your wondering wat the SPACE IS ALL ABOUT... its about LATINOS.... "

"Also have patience wit us... while we get this sight pimping..."

And my favorite is the comments from serious politicos like this one:

WUTZ UP U KNOW IMA BE THERE REPN 4 ALL OF UZ!! WE NEED TO STICK 2GETHER AND FIGHT FOR OUR RIGHTZ LATINOZ UNIDOZ SIEMPRE!!! SAY NO 2 HR 4437!!!!! SI SE PUEDE!!!!!! DONT JUST DREAM LETZ MAKE IT HAPPN!!! DREA

Ok, now I'm actually listening to this song and I do believe that it was written specifically for the immigration marches lately. Here is the page by the "artists." They are doing the whole Si se peude (translated means: yes we can sell drugs) and talking about waving the Mexican flag in California. Wow.

I'm not sure that the DREAM Act will help the "50,000 & 65,000 bright high school students [who] graduate from high school & wish to continue on to college but are denied this opportunity because of their immigration status." Judging from their website they aren't smart enough to flip burgers.

Public libraries: or as I like to call them, Blockbuster without the price tag

Somene please explain to me why my property taxes go to fund a place where John Q. Citizen (and Juan Q. Noncitizen) can go to rent Talladega Nights without having to pay for it.

What was the function/mission of the public library system 15 years ago and what is it today?

Is it so that kids can get books? They have access to the same books at their school library.

What I see when I go to the library is people walking up to the checkout counter with stacks of DVD's in their hands. (waits patiently for the hyperventilating liberals to attempt to type, with shaky fingers, that I am such a hypocrite because I've been to the library)

When I look at my end of the year property tax statement and how it gets broken down I see important things like police, TVFR (fire), schools... then I see the library. The first three all have bonds, I say we take the library money and give it to the important stuff and let Juan Q. Noncitizen get his spanish language DVD in from the library in Mexico.

Kind of like "don't volunteer for a drug test if you're stoned"

In Daniel's America the NCLR (National Council of "The Race") would be shut down immediately. Unfortunately we are in Bush's Mexico. So while I still have to put up with the existance of the NCLR I can demonstrate the patent absurdity (and criminal nature) of what they do.

It's nice that they have helpful documents with tips such as:

If you happen to be undocumented, do NOT disclose your immigration status or the immigration status of your co-workers to your employer, or to anyone.

Tell your employer that you are taking the day off to support better rights and working conditions for all workers, including legalization for immigrant workers, without specifically saying that you or your family members need to legalize.

But moving on from them aiding and abetting criminal activity (in violation of labor laws, immigration laws, perjury laws and most likey fraud and ID theft) we have the humorous Photos from Several of the Rallies section. (ironically they take the position that you must "ask permission" to use their photos, I am considering using them and afterwards demanding "amnesty" for the use...)

Somehow they managed to take as many as 8 or 9 photos where the criminal aliens and their supporters only had American flags. (And not ones that had been turned upside down or set on fire) In fact, you can't find a single Mexican flag in any of their photos. Look at their gallery and then remember what these protests really looked like:

My photo. (it came here legally)

Can we call him queer or homo then?

Howard Dean Demands GOP Candidates Denounce Ann Coulter for Referring to John Edwards as a 'Faggot'
Democratic Party boss Howard Dean demanded that Republican presidential candidates denounce conservative columnist Ann Coulter after she referred to Democratic presidential hopeful John Edwards as a ‘faggot’ during a speech Friday at a national conservative gathering.

First, I'm looking forward to her next column where she will be unapologetic and reaffirm the inherent queerness of the '04 John "pretty boy" Edwards candidacy.

Second, it's so hard to know what to call gays these days. Can we even still call them gays? One minute "queer" is a slur and the next thing you know it's the name of a taxpayer funded resource center at most public universities. The acronym LBGTQA...JKLHHJJNELFSE just keeps getting longer and longer.

And last, why is it "hateful" to call someone a faggot? I'd guess that we a just a few election cycles away from having a democrat primary where the men try to out-gay each other in a feeble attempt to win the support of the homosexual mafia. But I guess for now being called gay is still an insult to Democrats.

Any Republican who denounces Coulter over this is so limp wristed that he is probably a faggot himself.

Oregon's own traitor to America

Diaz friends rally at Capitol to change immigration laws
Diaz family supporters took their case for immigration reform to Salem last week and returned with a sense of hope.
(I sure am anxious to crush that hope)

Luis Diaz Sr. and his 12-year-old daughter Jennifer met Friday afternoon with state Sens. Avel Gordly and Ryan Deckert and Rep. Suzanne Bonamici to discuss possible legislation that could reunite families like theirs, torn apart by broken immigration laws.

Gordly is sponsoring Senate Joint Memorial 4 that urges Congress to make family reunification a priority in federal immigration reform.
Sen Gordley is pictured here in front a Mexican flag and a picture of Marxist revolutionary and mass murderer Che Guevera. (photo taken by me)

I for one am very worried about families torn apart by pretty much any of our laws. Millions of "otherwise law abiding"* husbands are in prison just because they wanted a better life for themselves and sold drugs, robbed a bank or killed a person or two. Think of the children. Don't they deserve to have their "hardworking" fathers freed from the oppression of living in a society where there are rules?

I for one wish the Diaz family the best of luck... in Guatemala! Good riddance.

*when I, or the media, say "otherwise law abiding" we mean "they break tons of laws"

Gracias

Feds net $45 million in drugs during sting on Mexican cartel; Oregon among states where drugs distributed
Dozens of people accused of working for one of Mexico’s largest drug cartels were arrested today in a multistate bust that netted more than $45 million worth of cocaine, heroin, marijuana and methamphetamine, federal officials said.

At least some of the drugs were carried over the U.S.-Mexico border on a bridge made from sandbags partially submerged in the Colorado River outside of Yuma, Ariz., authorities said. All of the narcotics were sneaked into the country on the porous Southwest border exploited by cartel kingpin Victor Emilio Cazares-Gastellum.

What was seized
27,229 pounds of marijuana.
9,512 pounds of cocaine.
705 pounds of methamphetamine.
227 pounds of pure methamphetamine, also known as “ice.”
11 pounds of heroin.
$6.1 million in property and assets.
An estimated 100 weapons and 94 vehicles.

Wait... the border is "porous"?

What is the cost to our communities (human cost, taxpayer cost ect) of allowing our border to be violated and giving cover to traffikers by allowing millions upon millions of illegal aliens into this country?

Thanks Teddy (both Kennedy and Kulongoski) and thank you Bush.
