Again

Also, I just found out that I will be giving a statement to KGW channel 8 for their nightly news. Look for me there.

Here me stutter

Watch the evening news on KATU channel 2 tonight. They took a statement from myself (the good side) and Ramon Ramirez (the "what laws?" side) about the temper tantrum planned for Monday.

Don't forget, it's American shopping day! Make your purchases, ignore stores that support the walk-out!

Cost/Benefit ratio

Taking A Closer Look At Illegal Immigration
Immigration is a hot button issue right now and one of the burning issues is just how much illegal immigrants cost our society and how much they contribute.

Sheriff John Trumbo has sent a bill to the President of Mexico, outlining 5,061 beds used by the country's citizens in 2005 at a cost of $63 per day.

While that may sound extreme, you have to understand Trumbo's frustration because Umatilla County spends more than $300,000 a year keeping illegal immigrants behind bars.

Children of illegal immigrants often do not speak English as their first language. It costs an additional $2,600 a year per child to educate someone who speaks English as a second language.

Then there are the hospitals. They do not track how many illegal immigrants they serve, but the vast majority of those who seek care do not have health insurance. In the state of Oregon, illegal immigrants account for a staggering $165 million in unpaid medical bills.

As for taxes, some undocumented immigrants do pay them and you might be surprised where the money goes.
"Some" undocumented immgrants [criminal aliens] do pay them? Ooooh, we should be so grateful.

Roughly 55 percent pay payroll taxes, but they cannot collect social security, Medicare or unemployment benefits. Many illegal immigrants use fake social security numbers to get jobs.
So half are working "on the books" and those ones are commiting ID theft and fraud to do so!!! This is really win-win for us, their work for cash and pay no taxes or they steal your SSN and pay a tiny amount of taxes on their low paying jobs.

However, according to the Center for Immigration Studies, if you compare illegal immigrant households to those of U.S. citizens, undocumented immigrants create a net loss on the tax system of $2,736 per household.

And that's the bottom line.

What double standard?

Migrants in Mexico face tough laws
Considered felons by the government, these migrants fear detention, rape and robbery. Police and soldiers hunt them down at railroads, bus stations and fleabag hotels. Sometimes they are deported; more often officers simply take their money.

"If you're carrying any money, they take it from you -- federal, state, local police, all of them," said Carlos Lopez, a 28-year-old farmhand from Guatemala crouching in a field near the tracks in Tultitlan, waiting to climb onto a northbound freight train.

"The soldiers were there as soon as we crossed the river," he said. "They said, 'You can't cross ... unless you leave something for us.' "

And while Mexicans denounce the criminalization of their citizens living without papers in the United States, Mexican law classifies undocumented immigration as a felony punishable by up to two years in prison, although deportation is more common.

If we guarded our southern border like Mexico guards theirs (minus the corruption) we wouldn't have an illegal alien problem!

And for you people who would excuse the lawbreakers who come here illegaly, would you demand that Mexico's government treat their criminal aliens the same way? Offer amnesty to anyone who makes it to Mexican soil?

Saturday morning sarcasm

Somone stole your car this morning. The bastard. Probably some drug addict. Now you want your car back and you want the thief to be punished.

You take a little comfort from the fact that the thief has to look over his shoulder, constantly worried that he will be stopped and arrested for his crime.

Then you turn on your television and see a parade of cars in downtown Portland. The thieves are now demanding that the car titles be changed to reflect their names!

They only wanted better cars. Something nicer than they already had. They deserve these cars they say.

They drive up and down the street honking loudly and proclaiming that "yes, we are currently breaking the law but that just means the law must be changed!"

Bold politicians who are eager for the car thief vote rush to assure them that they will help these people keep the cars. Unbiased journalists insist that the people clamoring for their vehicles back are "selfish" and "uncaring."

Everyone insists that "there are too many thieves and stolen cars to arrest them all."

Thankfully this doesn't lead to more car theft. Because when people see others getting something for nothing they never follow suit. No. They are content to keep their sad little cars even though they could steal a nicer one with no consequence.

The advocate manager

Now Hiring:

Administrator, Oregon Advocacy Commissions Office
$3,287 - $4,840 MONTHLY

This is an executive service position, appointed by and reporting to, the Director of DAS. The Advocacy Commissions Office enables the following commissions to carry out their statutory duties: The Commission on Hispanic Affairs; The Commission on Black Affairs; The Commission for Women; and The Commission on Asian Affairs.

Because you can't have government agencies advocating for certain races unless they have the proper administrator.

Seriously, is it government's responsibility to advocate for people of a certain race? Is there no commission for just Oregonians? (Not that we need that either) Do all Hispanics have the same "affairs" or can they be different? And men are the minority in terms of gender, how come we don't get a commission?

Let's try for more than one day

A Day Without Illegal Aliens? It's a Start!
May 1 is going to be “A Day Without Illegal Aliens.”

This is supposed to frighten you.

So on May 1, the ridiculous, old socialist “workers’ holiday” known overseas as “May Day,” they intend to punish the American people, and intimidate Congress into passing a “guest worker” amnesty, by marching in the streets, boycotting American stores, and shutting down the corrupt businesses that have illegally employed them.

Those businesses still functioning on May 1, dubbed “A Day Without Illegal Aliens” by the scheme’s organizers, will be the honest ones. They’ll be the ones who hire only legal immigrants and American citizens, obey our labor laws, collect their employee’s taxes, and pay their workers a fair legal wage.

I'm really looking forward to days two, three and four without illegal aliens!

Jobs that Oregonians are begging to do

Fishing boat raid yields immigration arrests
Raids on fishing boats at the mouth of the Columbia River led to more than a dozen immigration arrests, officials said Wednesday.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers also arrested 16 people - six women, nine men and a boy - for being in the country illegally. They were transported to Portland for processing and will be sent back to their country of origin, said Lori Haley, an ICE regional spokeswoman.

Looking a google news search here it appears that fishing is a job that Americans are not only willing to do, but they are begging and fighting to do it!

And for all my readers who are friends with illegal aliens: tell your buddies to stay home from work, ICE is coming for them! It's not a rumor...

Latest fashion accessory

Given to me by VP of OFIR, Rick Hickey!

And yes, I wear it everywhere...

Time to punish the employer

With regards to the previous post: If half your workforce doesn't show up on a given day because of rumors of immigration raids, it's a safe bet that those workers are illegal aliens. As an employer I don't believe you have plausible deniability any more.

It would be like you announcing drug tests and half your workforces suddenly remembers that family emergency and takes off. Pretty safe bet that they use drugs.

Brian Bergler, who is quoted in the article can be reached at the phone number for Pahlisch Homes, 541-385-6762. You can contact them by email here.

According to this article Bergler said. "We're just anxious for all of them to return as quickly as possible."

So you need your illegal labor to return Mr. Bergler? (appropriate name)

Mr. Bergler's company, Pahlisch Homes, should be reported for the high probability that they employ illegal aliens, this can be done here.

The second company represented in the article is Latham Excavation.

Bend excavation worker Alfredo Arreola said he's been a U.S. citizen since 2000, and that when the Hispanic community gets word of U.S. immigration in town, they stay home, afraid they could be transported back to Mexico.

I'm sorry but the "Hispanic community" doesn't have anything to worry about, it's the illegal alien community that should be afraid.

"They don't want to go back," said Arreola, who works for Latham Excavation in Bend.

Too bad. It's time for them to go back and time for Latham Excavation to be shut down if they are employing illegal aliens.

Latham can be reached at this number: 541-382-8267

More contact info including email can be found here.

How much would it cost to deport: a rumor

Raid rumors spark Hispanic worker no-shows
Rumors - strongly denied by federal officials - of local immigration checkpoints and roundups amid heightened focus on the issue of illegal aliens combined to keep hundreds if not thousands of Hispanic workers off the job Monday in Central Oregon, where they play a crucial role in the red-hot housing market.

Brian Bergler, vice president for sales and marketing for Pahlisch Homes in Bend, said, "Our production team saw most of the trades, in sheetrockers and paint crews, were mostly affected, and we saw about 50 percent (of the) workforce that didn't show up for the day (Monday)."

"The main rumor is that there are checkpoints out for immigration," Bergler said. "We're just anxious for all of them to return as quickly as possible. A couple days, we can continue as normal, but if it continued for a week or longer, it would definitely have an effect for us."

Many of you understand that there is no need for massive deportation, that over time simple enforcement of our labor laws will cause illegal aliens to stop working and go home.

But when simple rumors can keep 50% of a workforce from showing up it may be even easier. Imagine if there we a few extra raids this week. Put some fear in the illegal employees and put some employers out of bussiness.

ICE should immediately issue a press release saying that they will be doing raids starting Friday, here is a phone number to call to verify the work eligibility of your workers, if you are found to have illegal workers after this the fine is $50,000 per head.

Time to be weaned

Oregon Dairy Farmers support illegal alien walkout!

If you think about milk, what other mammal continues to drink it past infancy? After the baby years other mammals drink water. We should too.

No milk for illegal aliens!
(Does that fit the "no blood for oil" type statement?)

More protest pictures

Erik from Tacoma, WA came all the way down to Portland to protest the carousel of crime. His pictures and narrative make me glad that he came.

Check out his version.

A rose by any other name

If Google can't find it then it doesn't exist. However, unless I was hallucinating last night durning the 11:00 news on KGW I heard that Ron Saxton supports gay marriage... err, civil unions. Yeah, that's what we call them.

Kind of like how Bush supports amnesty... err, guest workers. Yeah, that's what we call them.

This is why we have the stereotype of the lying politician. They use stupid word games. Calling an apple an orange doesn't change what it is. The same is true for amnesty and gay marriage.

Many people have wondered why I have not chosen to go with Saxton in this race when the illegal immigration issue is so high on my list. I will explain it like this: I like what he says, I don't like who I think he is.

It's the opposite of The Oregonian editorial board when they endorsed him: they like who he is, they don't like what he is saying. (during a Republican primary)

As for why I oppose civil unions, it's simply a special right only for gays. (being gay is something that you can't prove by the way) It's a mandate on private bussiness. (big government) And if you were to counter with "reciprocal benefits" to avoid the discrimination issue you only have a larger mandate on bussiness. It would also further erode the fabric of our society: the family.

Why get married when you can shack up and have all the benefits?

Carousel Protest: A visual guide

My buddy over at CSI:Oregon chronicles this weekends carousel protest in pictures. (so that public school graduates can understand) Some really great stuff!

Join OFIR, have fun, protest illegal immigration

I thought that I would put out the official OFIR report on this weekends protest as well as including two more of my own "consular awards" for some previously overlooked categories: "Best mullet" and "I didn't take my valium."

OFIR members and supporters:

We had about 100 people this morning at the Portland Carousel of Information protest in front of the Mexican Consular office. It was a great celebration of being an American.

While it was nice to see many new faces it was equally satisfying to see many of the same staunch supporters that seem to be at all of our rallies. We waved flags, protest signs and passed out information to passerbys.

It was apparent that we caught the Mexican Consul General by surprise. I'm sure that he thought we would be protesting in Woodburn at an empty building. Thanks to some inside information we were able to change locations at the last moment. Special thanks to Rick Hickey for coordinating the event.

Next week it is critical for everyone to go back to phoning again. Undoubtedly, the tens of thousands of phone calls the U.S. Senate received caused them to back down from passing the horrendous Kennedy/McCain amnesty bill. Please start phoning again Monday. Demand that the "borders be secured before there is any discussion of guest worker, green cards or amnesties."

The number one duty of the federal government is to protect our borders and sovereignty. Contrary to President Bush, Senators Kennedy and McCain, it is not to provide big business with cheap labor. If you need phone numbers contact the OFIR office.

May 1st, (May Day), has been set by illegal alien advocates as a boycott America day. They want to show that America cannot function without illegal alien workers. We have proclaimed May 1st as "Shop til you drop" day. We encourage everyone to do their shopping on Monday, May 1st, but not to frequent businesses that hire illegals.

OFIR is also encouraging a boycott of Mexico and it's products. I will certainly participate in that.

And now for the final two Consul Awards:

Award for "Best Mullet"

Oh yeah, sporting the mullet likes it's 1980 something. For whatever reason it seems that illegal aliens like mullets. I can't explain the phenomenon.

Award for "I didn't take my valium today"

I could go on and on about this guy. He called us nazis, called us KKK, called us bigots... all at the top of his lungs! He chanted "yes we can" in Spanish but did it incorrectly. He flipped people off then talked about the Bible and respect. Then he did some more screaming. The illegal aliens weren't quite sure what to do with him, I think that they were embarrassed to have him on their side.

Shaving is gonna hurt

Took my boys fishing at Hagg Lake today. Beautiful weather, got a little bit of sun... I think I'm now officially a red-head.

For a little while they weren't criminals

For a brief moment there were illegal aliens who had their feet back on Mexican soil today. Unfortunately it was only because they were standing on consulate property. Once they were back on the sidewalk of Portland they had re-entered the United States.

And they got some goodies:

See the white bags they have? They are chock full of information provided by your tax dollars to help an illegal alien make sure that he isn't "taken advantage of." (Next up: State classes to help drug dealers avoid being robbed)

"Prevent Fraud" bag is courtesy of Hardy Myers and the Attorney Generals office. There is absolutely no irony to giving illegal aliens, the people who commit fraud every time they apply for a job, these bags. None at all.

A legal immigrant. Or as I like to say: "Someone who fills out the applications that Mexicans won't do."

I can't tell you how many people were waiting outside "for their cousin."

This is my good buddy. He reads my blog so at least he is well informed. He does say that it's a bunch of lies and I would invite him to cite an example...

Today was a great protest. The consulate didn't expect us, he was apparently suprised that we weren't protesting outside an empty building in Woodburn, we had over 100 people, Fox 12 gave us good coverage on the news and I got to mingle with great people.

Several bloggers were there (I will put up links as they do posts on this event), many people from previous protests, OFIR members, talk show host Victoria Taft and of course this guy:

He's going to "knock me out" for taking this picture of him.

I was mini-blind but now I see

If you aren't sure what we were protesting today or why, I explain it (with visuals) in this post.

The absolutely funniest part of this whole protest today came from the fact that a few mini-blinds weren't closed right.

This presented an opportunity I haven't had since the Cornelius protest, that is, to see inside the mysterious "carousel of information." A land where only Spanish is spoken, tax dollars flow like rivers and being a criminal is considered a prerequisite for entrance.

Here it is:

The flash from my camera caused a flurry of activity as illegal aliens supporters desperately tried to fix the blinds in multiple spots. I kept taking pictures...

Then...

After 5 minutes they finally figure out how to close the blinds. This picture was taken 3 seconds before someone stuck their hand through to flip us off.

Consulate protest awards

Each carousel protest I meet all kinds of great people. It's time to recognize them with their very own awards post. So many entrants, so few winners. To win an award in a certain category you must go above and beyond the call of duty.

So without further ado...

The "I threatened Daniel" award:

"If you take my picture I'll knock you out." Yes, this deserving winner is capable of making empty threats of physical violence just like in 3rd grade.

The "Expensive car" award:

This was a hard one. So many illegal aliens drive nice cars but the "for official use only" bumper sticker made this Prius the final winner.

The "This is why we need illegal labor" award:

"I am able to keep costs down with illegal Mexican labor which means I have more money to buy cheap Mexican pot." I told this guy that his bussiness was a failure because he has to break the law to compete and he responded with that quote. Classic.

The "I won't take a picture with Daniel" award:

This was another hard one. (So many people won't take a picture with me) But I had to settle on Consul Fernando Ugarte. I actually told him at one point that if he agreed to give me one of the goodie bags and take a picture with me that I would go home. He laughed.

Lunch is ready... more to follow.

Jeff Foxworthy-Gonzales-Lopez-Alvarez-Mendez

Ok, I sat down with the intention of coming up with some "you might be an illegal alien if" jokes but nothing came to mind. (saying that they sell drugs, rape teenagers and ruin our public schools isn't a good punchline)

So after searching this thing called "the internet" that a nice man name Al Gore invented, I compiled a small list of other tasteless jokes:

What are the first three words in every Mexican cookbook? "Steal a chicken"

Why doesnt mexico have a olympic team? Because every mexican that can run, jump, and swim is already across the border!

"According to this new bill that's tied up in the Senate, illegal immigrants who can prove they've been here for two years would be allowed to stay. So follow the logic here. If you can prove you broke the current law for two years, you've protected under the new law." --Jay Leno

"President Bush is down in Mexico right now. Again, I don't think President Bush gets it. As soon as he stepped off Air Force Once, he looked around and said, 'Wow, you got a big problem with Mexican immigrants down here, too.'" --Jay Leno

"As you know, there were lots of huge marches around the country yesterday to protest the immigration laws. The marches had quite an impact on businesses. Restaurants had to close, construction sites had to shut down, the Yankees had to forfeit a game. ... Do you realize that Americans are now doing the jobs that immigrants won't do because they're out protesting?" --Jay Leno

What should have happened

I want to give kudos to Senator Charles Starr for his efforts to make Oregon a better place. His letter to the editor in today's Oregonian:

Like other members of the Oregon Legislature, I hope that the special session is as brief as possible. However, it is past time to deal with the mounting problem of illegal immigration. It should be taken up before adjournment.

Due to the urgency of the issue, I made a strong appeal to the Senate president that we fast-track Oregon's compliance with the federal Real ID Act.

Unfortunately the special session is over and we did not get this bill heard or voted on. But it wasn't for a lack of effort and I want to commend Senator Starr for putting this out there to Peter Courtney.

The fact that he followed up with a letter to the editor so Oregonians know that the Democrat leadership in the Senate ignored this issue is priceless.

Thank you Senator Charles Starr!

Metro: pure genius

Those "smarter than us" folks at metro have done it again. Perhaps you've heard the commercials for drivelesssavemore.com? It's a website you paid for that is jam packed with helpful tips such as:

Try making only right turns.
UPS experts have determined that left turns tend to take more time and waste more gas than right turns because drivers often have to wait for traffic and/or the light to change.

Consider one-stop shopping.
Many stores and shopping centers may offer you the opportunity to get all of your errands done in just one stop.
(But no Wal-Mart)

Another interesting fact:

Did you know?
Most American families spend more on transportation than on healthcare, education or food.

Following this revelation the Democrat party immediatly called for a "constitutional right" for "universal" transportation as well as a "gas stamp" program.

The one problem that I find with this super helpful website is that there is no Spanish version. Imagine, thousands of illegal aliens aren't grouping their trips to the liquor store and the High School to find underage girls to get drunk and rape.

Viva China!

News story:

Thousands of Chinese marched in the streets today waving Chinese flags, chanting and wearing pro-communist T-shirts.

"We just come here for a better life" said one demonstrator, "we demand that the US government change their laws for us."

The marches coincide with the visit of Chinese Dictator Hu, currently on vacation from silencing dissent in his own country.

Many Republicans are prepared to cave to any demands the Chinese demonstrators make, however Democrats seem reluctant since the "Asian community" have never portrayed themselves as victims.

In a brief statement one democrat was quoted as saying "I don't understand why people would leave a country with free health care."

Oh wait, none of this happened. I mean it could, all of it except the part about Chinese people demonstrating in the streets waving foreign flags and being pro-communist. That's something that only Mexicans will do.

BlueOregon owns the economic issue

BlueOregon, the folks who hate black people (if I keep saying it then it must be true), have come up with the most compelling argument yet against Wal-Mart stores: people drive cars there.

This is in contradistincion to places like Fred Meyer, Wickes furniture and the local abortion clinic.

"The store is planned in a location zoned as "transit oriented retail commercial," intended to attract bus, bike, and other local non-automobile traffic. As we all know by now, Wal-Mart stores are very car/SUV/RV-focused. The company itself estimates that over 7,000 new car trips a day will occur if the store is built."
SOURCE

This is why it's laughable for any Democrat to say that they "own the economic issue." Their goal in life is to make things harder for bussiness to make money. Unionization, regulation, zoning, permits, taxes, fees, mandates AND ABOVE ALL ELSE YOUR CUSTOMERS CAN'T DRIVE CARS are things that make bussiness owners cringe.

Side note: Ben Westlund, that guy who used to be a Republican (waits for laughter to subside), has an ad on BlueOregon. I guess he is counting on his candidacy being supported by liberals and folks who hate black people. (If I keep saying it then it must be true)

Kulongoski attracts bussiness

Man pleads guilty in identity-theft case
A Woodburn man has pleaded guilty to visa fraud and aggravated identity theft after Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents uncovered his forgery ring, officials said.

The typical sets included a Social Security card and a lawful-resident-alien card and sold for about $100. He also sold state driver's licenses and other U.S. and Mexican documents.

This small bussiness man is the kind of entrepeneur that thrives under the "leadership" of Governor Kulongoski.

Hat tip to Gullyborg for pointing out the news item.

See no evil

Oregon Newspaper Editors Play Patty Cake With Iran's Nuke Weapon Threat To America
White cake, chocolate cake or yellow cake? Oregon Pulitzer prize winning editorial writers excel at journalistic exposes of horrors at the Oregon State Mental Hospital. But, they just don't get the difference between the palate-pleasing sponginess of angel food cake desserts and the insanity of Islamic terrorists who are pursuing weapons grade uranium from radioactive yellow cake in the Iranian desert.

Editorialists at the Portland Oregonian aren't the only journalistic mystics to walk softly concerning Iran's growing nuclear weapon threat. The same style of let's-not-threaten-or-attack-America's-mortal-enemy editorials emanate from a litany of Oregon newspaper editorial boards...nameless, faceless, exponents of the "official opinion" of the management of major newsrags in Oregon.

It's like the editorial boards are hoping to make up for them being wrong about appeasement of the soviet union, this time they will be right, they are telling themselves. This time maybe acting like scared little girls will work. This time simply ignoring the problem will make it go away. This time aggressive action by the most powerful nation on earth just won't work.

If Mexico doesn't like it... you know it's good

Mexico criticizes Georgia's newly approved anti-immigrant law
The Mexican government slammed a newly approved immigrant enforcement law in the U.S. state of Georgia, saying the legislation discriminates against Mexicans while failing to resolve the migration issue.

Ruben Aguilar, the spokesman for President Vicente Fox, told a news conference Tuesday that Mexican consular officials will closely watch the application of the law, which gives Georgia some of the toughest measures against illegal immigrants in the United States.

Boo hoo.

I'm trying to remember, how did Mexico respond to our requests to help in the war on terror? They gave us the finger. How do they respond when we ask them to extradite cop-killers? They give us the finger. How does Daniel respond when they cry about us enforcing our laws? I give them the finger.

Tax dollars for "skateable art"

Skateable Art for Pier Park Skatepark.

The Regional Arts & Culture Council invites artists/teams living in Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington Counties in Oregon, or in Clark County, Washington, to submit qualifications for a public art project at the soon to be built Skatepark at Pier Park in North Portland. The Art Selection Panel is interested in commissioning an artist or an artist team to create artwork that is skateable and integrates into the overall design for the Skatepark. Updates

Regarding Woodburn school kids who skipped class to support criminals:

Dear [Daniel]:

Thank you for your concern. Students who did not have an excused absence received a variety of discipline, including detention, exclusion from extra-curricular activities, and exclusion from next sports event (if particpating). Students are also expected to make up all work missed during their absence (excused or unexcused).

Please know that the school district did not support or sanction this event. We involved parents and used policy to regulate absences. We minimized disruptions and confrontations. Most importantly, there were over 4000 students in the district who had school as normal the entire day on Thursday.

Sincerely,
Walt Blomberg

Regarding Senator Charles Starr:

I had a lengthy phone conversation with the Senator about his 2005 vote to allow in-state tuition for illegal aliens. As of today he says that he would absolutely vote against a bill like that. He has also become versed on the DMV/illegal aliens/Robleto issue and is very interested in limiting drivers licenses to legal residents only.

(NOTE: I had a dicussion with someone who indicated that there was a possibility that the special session would be open to introduction of a few extra items for the agenda and why couldn't one of them by drivers licenses, since then I have heard back that there is no possibility of this as the leadership has already done their deal making)

I had asked Starr to push for this and also to call into Lars' and Victoria's shows today, didn't hear him on Lars [but he was on, as was Bruce Starr]... you should be listening to Victoria right now! (860am)

UPDATE: Senator Starr was on Victoria just now. I liked what I heard!

Just so you know what side they're on

From the Oregon Democrat Party official website:

WHEREAS, in our opinion, several new federal laws, regulations and executive orders issued since September 11, 2001, including the adoption of certain provisions of the U.S.A. P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act (Public Law 107-56, hereafter UPA) and the Homeland Security Act (Public Law 107-296) now threaten principal tenets of our platform, as well as our constitutional rights and liberties, including

Driving a wedge between immigrant communities and the police that protect them by encouraging involvement of state and local police in enforcement of federal immigration law (Public Law 107-296, Title VIII, Subtitle I: Homeland Security Information Sharing Act; Department of Justice Legal Opinion April 10,
SOURCE

So they oppose police being allowed to inquire about immigration status because that would drive a "wedge" between the police and the... criminals.

We meet up with our farm worker and immigrant allies for a march into Woodburn to highlight the state of emergency for workers rights, economic justice, and immigrant rights. Speakers will share their stories of immigration and the need for fair immigration reform with a clear path to citizenship. Workers will highlight their struggles and successes in this long road towards beloved community where the rights and dignity of all people are respected. That evening we will gather for a community dinner hosted by CAUSA and PCUN, the farm worker union. The next morning the Walk will stop by the fields to rally with workers for fair wages and working conditions.

From a DPO calendar, they meet with PCUN and they want a "path to citizenship" which normal people call "amnesty."

You democrats out there who think this is an important issue... it might be time to vote Republican in Oregon.

Mexican aliens seek to retake 'stolen' land
La reconquista, a radical movement calling for Mexico to "reconquer" America's Southwest, has stepped out of the shadows at recent immigration-reform protests nationwide as marchers held signs saying, "Uncle Sam Stole Our Land!" and waved Mexico's flag.

Even as organizers urged marchers to display U.S. flags, the theme of reclaiming "stolen" land remained strong. One popular banner read: "If you think I'm illegal because I'm a Mexican, learn the true history because I'm in my homeland."

"We need to change direction," said Jose Lugo, an instructor in Ethnic Studies at the University of Colorado at Boulder at a campus march last week. "And by allowing these 50,000, 50 million [immigrants] to come in here, we can do that."

Earth Liberation Front: Dedicated to... viagra?

Earth Liberation Front - ELF
There is no ELF structure; "it" is non-hierarchical and there is no centralized organization or leadership.

There is no "membership" in the Earth Liberation Front.

Any individuals who committed arson or any other illegal acts under the ELF name are individuals who choose to do so under the banner of ELF and do so only driven by their personal conscience.

These choices are not endorsed, encouraged, or approved of by this websites management, webmasters, affiliates, or other participants.

Viagra Stories - an excellent resource for Sildenafil Citrate or Generic Viagra No Prescription.

The intention of this web site is journalistic in intent: to inform and chronicle issues related to ELF.

The owners, management, webmasters, affiliates, or other participants of this website are not spokespersons...

Wait a second... what? In the middle of your rant you have a promo for viagra? Then at the bottom of the page, under the heading "Social Trends and Observations" they have people actively debating whether or not cialis or viagra is better.

Is this for endangered animals to help them reproduce or for sissified liberals who don't have enough testosterone?

Understanding the Fishwrappers

Decoding Immigration Doublespeak
“Pro-Immigration Rallies.” The elite media consisted presented the protests as rallies in favor of immigration or immigrants rights. The Washington Post called the protestors “pro-immigration demonstrators.” New York Times “reporters” described a rally in Madison, Wisconsin – home to a large, left-leaning state university, naturally – as a “rally for immigrants’ rights,” burying in the second paragraph the inconvenient reality, “many of [the protestors are] undocumented immigrants who speak no English.” The sympathy of the masses would be moved in quite another way were these described by more accurate terms, like “Open Borders Rallies,” “Pro-Lawbreaking Rallies,” “Anti-Homeland Security Rallies,” or “Massive Collections of Perhaps Felonious Welfare Recipients.”

The Republican Bill “Criminalizes Undocumented Workers.” The rallies were allegedly called to oppose the GOP House immigration bill, sponsored by Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, which would “criminalize” illegals. During the protests, Rachel L. Swarns of the New York Times wrote Sensebrenner’s impotent counterparts on the Senate Judiciary Committee “voted to eliminate the provisions that would criminalize illegal immigrants.” CNN, CBS, and the Washington Post (among others) have uncritically reported the bill would “criminalize” undocumented workers. Of course, illegal immigrants are, ipso facto, criminals; hence, the modifier illegal. The House bill would not change their status as lawbreakers deserving deportation; it would merely raise the penalty from a misdemeanor to a felony. Such a move may not be the wisest course of action (or it may be), but that is an internal matter for American citizens to determine.

Many more phrases used by the media (with sources) are shown for what they truly are over at Frontpagemag.com.

Doing the work that Mexicans won't do

Yesterday myself, my son, and many other boys and fathers from our Boy Scout troop helped volunteers with the Rotary Club set up their annual tree sale in the Sherwood Albertson's parking lot.

It was basically work that you would do at a nursery, you know, those places that insist they can't get along without illegal alien labor.

Well I didn't see any illegal aliens yesterday doing the volunteer work. (Note: volunteering is for "less pay" than most Americans earn)

What I did see where a lot of hardworking kids who could get manual labor done quickly with their large numbers. What I did see was a lot of hardworking Americans volunteering for a good cause.

What I did see was a lot of people who responded to my cracks about this being "a job that Americans won't do" with total agreement that we need to deport every illegal alien in this country, not give them amnesty.

What I didn't see where illegal aliens out volunteering on a Saturday doing the work that, according to Bush and the Chamber of Commerce, only they will do.

Of course, in the illegal aliens defense, Saturday is probably a busy day for drug sales and child-raping.

Oh really?

If you live in my Senate District you are currently being represented by Charles Starr. You will know this even if you aren't politically active because he is in a contested re-election race (with Larry George) and is sending out fliers in the mail almost every day.

While Senator Starr is absolutely great on family values issues and standing up to the gay mafia, he has a less than stellar record on illegal immigration, despite what his fliers say.

Starr is on the education committee and in 2005 voted to send a bill to the full Senate that would have given in-state tuition to illegal aliens.

"If we don't educate them, they'll continue to struggle in minimum-wage jobs and fail to make the contribution to the state and nation that they would if they had a college education," Starr said.
SOURCE

Starr's current fliers make note that he has "fought" to deny drivers licenses to illegal aliens (maybe he only wants them to ride bikes to college?) and he wants to have tougher penalties for employers who knowingly hire illegal aliens. (If you don't know it's only because you are lazy, see this)

On the day that Starr made his vote I vowed that he would never get mine again, however, I am willing to give him a chance to redeem himself. I have traded a few email with his campaign manager and wrote him again today with a solution for Starr to show that he recognizes the huge problem that illegal immigration is. I will keep you posted.

But don't buy from somewhere that hires illegals

May 1 Is Conservative Shopping Day!
As you no doubt know, illegal aliens and their handlers plan to hold their next Senate intimidation rallies on May 1, better known as the Marxist holiday of “May Day.” The May Day campaign will consist of yet more anti-law-enforcement marches and a nationwide “boycott” of shopping.

If the boycott and strike are successful, this means that May 1 will be A DAY WITHOUT ILLEGAL ALIENS! Lines will be shorter. Clerks will all speak English. Businesses that have been honest enough to hire legal residents will be poised to finally enjoy a competitive advantage! It will be morning again in America. Every actual American should make a point to get out and support those businesses and counteract the criminal boycott movement.

Show the doubters that a day without illegal aliens is not a crisis, it’s just a good start. And spread the word. Forward this notice or send out your own. Let it be shouted, in clear unaccented English, from every mountaintop and blog: SPEND, GRINGOS, SPEND!

Viva la Mastercard!! I'm going to Wal-Mart!

I beg to differ

From today's Portland march:

That's why you guys run like cowards when immigration comes after you huh. How come you aren't this bold when you come crawling across the desert, hiding in the bushes? You guys aren't waving that Mexican rag when the border patrol pulls up, you don't make silly "demands" either.

Don't get too high and mighty on yourselves just because the city of Portland lets you walk around. They also let some tree-hugging freak who doesn't shower take over a building for days at a time.

Can you skip school in Woodburn? Si!

Woodburn School District 103 Compulsory Attendance**
Except when exempt by Oregon law, all students ages 7-18 who have not completed the 12th grade are required to attend school full time on a regular basis at the designated school within the attendance area.

Persons having legal control of a student ages 7-18 who has not completed the 12th grade are required to have the student attend school. Under the superintendent’s direction and supervision, building principals shall monitor and report any violation of the compulsory attendance law to the superintendent or designee. A violation is a Class B infraction and is punishable by a citation up to $100.

Woodburn Students March Over Immigration
Young activists from several schools in the Woodburn area dismissed themselves from school on Thursday.

The students were taking part in a walkout that is part of a growing uprising against a controversial immigration proposal.

No respect for immigration law, employment law, ID theft law (at the very least) and many have no respect for drug laws, DUII laws, murder laws and rape laws which are also know as "cultural misunderstandings" to the Mexican consul.

Now they have no respect for truancy laws. Or maybe they just don't habla...

We don't need no stinkin' senate

Senate OKs bill to apply trespassing law to immigrants
Two days after a big immigration march in Phoenix, the Arizona Senate today approved legislation to make illegal immigrants subject to the state's criminal trespassing law.

If we can't get a good bill out of congress then the issue will go back to the states where elected officials are a slightly less disconnected from the voters.

Oregon could take many steps to stop being an illegal alien haven.

Still skipping class

Students in Los Fresnos march against immigration reform
About 80 students walked out of school in this South Texas town today to protest proposed legislation that would crack down on illegal immigrants.

Some chanted and carried signs that read, "Viva Mexico."

"We're here to support Mexico," 15-year-old student Carla Arredondo...

"I'm here supporting the illegals," said Maria J. Garcia, a mother of one of the students.

Please... keep talking.

I thought that only illegal aliens did this work

Congressman accused of using staff to baby-sit
Two former staff members of U.S. Rep. John Conyers Jr., D-Michigan, say the longtime Detroit congressman made them baby-sit his children, run errands and work on political campaigns while they were on his congressional payroll.

But I thought that Hillary said illegal aliens were the ones babysitting our children?

It takes a village: it takes teachers, it takes clergy, it takes... illegal aliens!

Thank you Rep Conyers for proving that Americans will do this job, at least if it's at taxpayer expense.

This is why the Democrats don't get the "family values" vote. Hillary thinks that baby-raping illegal aliens should be watching kids and Conyers thinks that congressional aides should. Where are the parents in all this?

The illegals, united, will only get deported

Protests backfire!
Recent images of seas of illegal aliens marching in cities across the U.S. are having a far greater negative than positive impact on the foreigners' cause, according to a new poll.

A Zogby survey of nearly 8,000 people shows coast-to-coast protests against immigration proposals in Congress – particularly to make it a federal felony to be an illegal worker in the U.S. – have not persuaded a majority of likely American voters.

NOTE: That's a majority of American voters, not illegal aliens who aren't allowed to vote.

A majority of Americans said they oppose amnesty for illegals who already reside in this nation. While 52 percent said there should be no amnesty, 32 percent said they'd favor it.

Hey Ramon Ramirez, what's that chant you have? (in Spanish) The people, united, will never be defeated?

Say it with me now: The illegals, united, will only get deported! The illegals, united, will only get deported! The illegals, united, will only get deported!

Can't make a good case

An interesting conversation is going on over on City Commissioner Sam Adam's blog.

Sam's Remarks at Immigration Rally

His first few respondents were very opposed to the idea of illegal immigration and said so. The response from Sam's office:

"Diversity is a value that this office holds near and dear. Several of our staff members have immigrated to the US and several more have very close family that chose this country for the enormous opportunities available here. None of this is about politics, or revolutionary romanticism- it's about respect, fairness and dignity. Sam is simply asking for new immigrants to be treated in a similar way as his grandparents were when coming here."

People were quick to point out that Sam's grandparents came here legally and so to be treated the same it only makes sense to enforce our immigration laws.

But hey, if "diversity" is a good reason to break the law according to a city commissioners office then who am I to disagree...

We can't arrest them all

After realizing that we can't deport 11 million illegal aliens (because you say so...) I have decided that there are some other futile endeavors that we pursue.

We can't arrest all the drug dealers. Imagine how much it would cost to arrest and house all these people all at once. [insert lame anecdote about how many busses it would take to transport drug dealers to jail]

We can't arrest all the sex offenders. There are just too many to arrest all at once. Their crimes should be ignored. [insert anecdote about how arresting all sex offenders on the same day would would affect the labor markets... these sickos do have jobs you know]

We can't arrest all the thieves. Way too many people steal. It would be way to expensive to house all that recovered stolen merchandice while we wait for it to be claimed. Plus so many security guards would lose their jobs. [insert anecdote about the loss prevention industry being vital to our economy]

Wait a minute... I just came up with an idea! Arrest these people AS YOU CATCH THEM and don't make it easier for them to commit their crimes! That just might work!

Live from Downtown Portland

Look how they love this country...

"We don't want to be illegal," said Alberto Rosales, who has been working here for more than 20 years and has four children who were all born here. "We want papers."

Two counter-protesters were also on the street. One carried a sign reading "Illegals go home, you are criminals." Another held a cardboard sign that read "If you are illegal leave, solve your problems back home" — until some younger participants took the sign from the man and tore it up.
SOURCE
Everyone has free speech but some people's speech is freer than others...

The Oregonian doesn't seem to have much of a problem with this crime being committed.

Chanting in Spanish, waving foreign flags and flags that support communist revolutionaries, yeah, these people really love this country.

Monday, April 10, 2006

But what can I do?

Burning with a deep rage at the audacity of criminals marching in the streets, demanding "rights" while our government sits idly by is not going to accomplish anything.

(Neither is marching in the streets waving Mexican flags and talking about "brown pride" (KPTV 12) but that's ok, it's turning people off)

So what are some steps to take?

*Write/Call/Fax your senator or any senator!

*Get involved with Oregonians for Immigration Reform

*REMINDER: Come to Salem School Board MTG. Tues. 11th @ 6 pm.

*Come to Woodburn on April 22 for a Matricula Consular protest. (more details to follow)

*May 1st is "don't buy anything day" if you are a communist-criminal alien loving moron. Since you are a capitalist who believes that illegal aliens should be deported immediately go buy something on that day.

*We need some people to attend a Town Hall Meeting with Senator Smith in Prineville. Buy yourself a small digital recorder and ask him why he would vote for amnesty.

*Stay posted here.

The hypocrites

Tolerance, free speech, respect for others. These are virtues that are preached endlessly by the left but seldom practiced.

Case in point, yet another political sign has been stolen from my yard. It said "Illegal immigration is a crime" and has been up for quite some time.

So because someone was upset about me exercising my right to post something they felt that they could commit theft.

These people are cowards, intellectual and otherwise. I have reported this theft.

I feel sorry for people who think that it's ok to commit crimes because they don't like someone's point of view, the point of view being that people shouldn't commit crimes. Well, the lawbreakers stick together I guess.

Nothing to do with illegal

Thousands rally in Salem for immigration rights
Oregon Latinos voted with their feet in huge numbers Sunday in Salem to protest federal legislation aimed at cracking down on illegal immigration.

They pushed baby strollers, chanted "Si, se puede!" ("Yes, we can!") and waved American and Mexican flags. They carried homemade signs saying "Immigrants made this nation," "Legalize not penalize" and "Oregon works because immigrants work."

What was most striking was the involvement of people who usually try not to bring attention to themselves, with many openly demonstrating their cultural pride. Many admitted that they are not here legally and fear being deported if the House-passed bill, HR 4437, becomes law.

Among them was Alejandro Manzano, a Beaverton construction worker who was pushing his 5-month-old daughter in a stroller with three U.S. flags poking up. Speaking in Spanish, Manzano said he came to the rally because of the bill that was passed by the House and is awaiting action in the Senate. The nine-year Oregon resident said he has been deported twice, but his daughter was born here and is an American citizen.

Mwa ha ha ha ha. Thank you PCUN. The attention that you have garnered may be inspiring at the local criminal alien hangout but the citizens of Oregon are collectively disgusted with your display of unbelievable gall.

And if you PCUN boys want to guage public opinion on this you can take a look at this line from the Gazzette Times coverage of your attention grabber:

Oregon’s Republican gubernatorial candidates in the May 16 primary all favor strict changes in immigration policy. Democratic candidates have had little to say on the matter.

You can't get any local officials to come out on your side. They know it's a losing issue to publicly take the position that rewarding criminals is the right thing to do.

Your attention grabbers only make those Democrat politicians nervous because they want to duck this issue all day long. You guys coming out with your true feelings doesn't help either...
(Blogger photo isn't working, go to link to see the "fight the Minutemen" picture where it is explained that these people "don't recognize" borders)

Side note: The local school kids have heard about the fact that they can skip class under the guise of protesting. If you see roaming bands of teenagers in Salem waving Mexican flags they are just "participating in the public process." It has nothing to do with skipping school...

Orbusmax also has links to great photos at the top of his site.

Taxpayer funded segregation

I never thought that the day would come when I could say I watched a video that was dumber than Napolean Dynamite. The MECHA boys at Sam Barlow High School have have proved me wrong.

This is apparently a "Day in the life of" a MECHA student. (long download) As far as I can tell it involves lazily sitting at a desk.

This is the worst filmmaking ever. Camera angles are horrible, the Spanish music was dubbed so loud that you can barely make out the Spanish words that are being said.

It is a jumbled bunch of nonsense. Having the cameraman zoom in on a sombrero with Mexican flag on it, zoom in on students faces, zoom in on "fill in the blank" is repetitive and unimaginative.

Thankfully our public schools are teaching this kids so well that one of the MECHA phrases is listed as "Take more then the minimum."
SOURCE

But beyond grammatical errors I would wonder why our taxpayer dollars fund a website that segregates by race "/Latino/" and advocates for one race.

A look at the MECHA homepage shows us what we all know to be true: These kids, most of whom have probably never been to Mexico, have more allegiance to that country than they do the United States of America.

Surrender before they stop cleaing our hotels

Pre-emptive Surrender of the Borders
You can tell that the tide is turning in the debate over illegal immigration, because the advocates of open borders and amnesty are no longer arguing about what should be done. Now their argument has degenerated into a description of what can’t be done. From a dozen mouths this week we have heard: “we just can’t deport 11 million immigration criminals –even if we wanted to,” and of course the amnesty proponents don’t want to.

The follow-up question I never hear asked is: “If we can’t deport 11 million, then how many can we deport; and can we get started on that number?” The implicit answer always seems to be “we cannot deport any number”.

With his usual clever wit Mac Johson makes a great case. The only thing he leaves out, something most people leave out, is that if we take away the carrot, nay the carrot cake that we offer to illegal aliens in the form of health care, food, housing, jobs, education we may not even need enforcement.

It's the same priciple as "don't leave your laptop in your car" so that the thief won't break in. If they can't get their goodies that our public officials are currently tripping over themselves to see how much and how fast they can get them stuff (all in Spanish) then they won't break in to our country!

Evil Knevil was safer

State considers backpedaling on freeway bicycle ban
A state proposal to ban bicycles on Portland-area freeways has cyclists up in arms.

But advocates say the dust-up is also a sign of how much the Oregon Department of Transportation still doesn't understand cycling's role in solving the state's traffic problems.
I'm not sure how anyone could make such a laughable statement but the post below might have something to do with it...

"If you're in reasonable shape, you can darn near keep pace with traffic," he said. "There's nothing cooler than passing a car on the highway on your bike."

Now that's a sad statement too. Not sad for a cyclist because it would be cool to pass a car on a freeway but sad for the motorist because obviously there are some serious congestion problems.

Bottom line: I would not ride my bike on a freeway. Pitting 250 lbs that go 25 mpg against something that weights 2 1/2 tons that goes 60 mph is just suicide.

But we have more "chronic pain"

Oregon marijuana use among highest in U.S.
Oregon and seven other states were ranked in the top fifth nationally in 2003-2004 marijuana use in three age groups, according to a new state-by-state report from the U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.

Obviosuly the government isn't taking into account the headaches and hang-nails that cause Oregonians to need so much "medical" marijuana.

Certainly our lax attitude towards pot in this state can't be the cause of it's high usage. Just because we allow citizens to grow and posses more marijuana than even Cheech and Chong could smoke in a six month period doesn't mean that these people are passing it out to their friends or selling it to kids. It would be absurd to think there was a connection.

While we are on the subject it's also worth looking at a connection that Mac Johnson made complete with visual evidence.

Immigration bill update

Previously we read a news item that showed the immigration bill was going to go something like this:

Criminal for more than 5 years you stay.

Criminal for more than 2 years you stay but we pretend you "went home."

Criminal less than 2 years we actually do what the laws says we are supposed to do now.

Clearly this is unworkable because it will be impossible to verify how long these criminals have been committing their crimes. They will lie for this just like they lie when they get a job, are stopped by the police, or say "I didn't know she was 14."

Second the government beuaracracy that would have to be set up to listen to these lies has not been established and would be an utter failure.

And last... IT'S AMNESTY!

So thankfully the genius architects of this bill in the senate have come up with a much simpler way of deciding which criminals they reward and which ones will simply continue to ignore the law.

If you are a criminal alien and you sign a pledge that you will vote for McCain then you stay, everyone else goes.

But even this plan has flaws, while illegal aliens were proven to vote in Washington's gubernatorial election, the one that resulted in 2 recounts and was decided by 42 votes, most are too busy selling drugs and raping young girls to vote.

You think that criminals would lie?

Senate Republicans Seek Support for Revised Citizenship Bill
Senate Republicans unveiled revised immigration legislation Wednesday night clearing the way for legal status and eventual citizenship for many of the estimated 11 million men, women and children living in the United States unlawfully.

Majority Leader Bill Frist outlined the proposal after efforts at a bipartisan compromise faltered earlier in the day and the Senate teetered between accomplishment and gridlock on the most sweeping immigration bill in two decades.

A compromise between illegal and legal? Either you are or you aren't.

Republican officials said the GOP plan would divide illegal immigrants into three categories:

Those who had been in the country the longest, more than five years, would not be required to return to their home country before gaining legal status.

Illegal immigrants in the United States less than five years but more than two would be required to go to a border point of entry, briefly leave and then be readmitted to the United States.

Illegal immigrants in the United States less than two years would be required to leave the country and join any other foreign residents seeking legal entry.

In what various Fishwrappers are going to call my entrepenurial spritit I'm going to offer to lie for every illegal alien who wants stay here. For a mere $100 I will attest that you have been mowing my grass for 5 years. That's right.

(Read like it's one of those accident attorney commercials)

So when you go in front of the new HUMONGOUS beuaracracy that is created to somehow verify how long you have been here, you can count of my signature.

Thousands of entrepenures just like me are hoping and praying that they don't in fact use the honor system to verify because really, we are perfectly willing to lie for a few dollars.

I mean sure, some people will do the lying for free. Spouses, employers, friends, neighbors, Ann Martens and such but when it comes time to lie on your verification forms or in front of the verification tribunal or whatever you need a paid professional.

So when they actually figure out how they are going to verify how long someone who they have no record of being here has actually been here, give me a call. I'm as willing to exploit you as the farmers are.

I used to do public records requests to DMV to see if licenses were issued to these drunk driving, hitting and running bastards. Usually they were and now DMV refuses to give me any info unless I pay for it.

That is the complete list of inmates in the Washington County jail who have an ICE hold. You see a lot of PV and FTA so that means that these people have been let out before. It would stand to reason that there are many more illegal aliens in jail but ICE has not put a hold on them.

No pride, just shame

So the "legalize me" crowd is going to get together in Salem this Saturday. The group is organized by a Union who in the past has kept very strict control over their charges, even forcing them to sign pledges and making them promise not to talk to me.

I have a hunch that PCUN is going to tell the marchers not to carry Mexican flags this weekend and to carry American flags instead. (Unlike at all their previous rallies)

To you soon to be marchers: I'm laughing at you right now, smiling at the fact that you have to hide your true feelings, hide what you really want to put out there, that your "Mexican pride" will easily take a backseat to what your Union masters tell you to do.

So during your march I hope that you think about me, I hope that you know I'm laughing at your cowardice, laughing at your shame for your own country and your inability to stick up for what you believe in when your bosses give an order.

It's always a let down

Do you ever have something that you always look forward to, something that you always think will finally live up to your expectations only to be let down time and time again?

It's a vicious cycle. I keep getting my hopes up that this one will be different, this will be my moment to shine, finally I will be able to participate.

It never works out for me.

Of course I am talking about the Diversity Events Calendar which is a joint publication of the Department of Human Services, Office of Multicultural Health and Department of Administrative Services. (Read: your tax dollars)

I really want to find something for me but with statements like "open to any agency or community group that works with or provides service to the Hispanic community in Marion, Polk, and Yamhill counties" I know that I'm not welcome. (My wife could go but I don't let her out of the house...)

Tommorow is the CONCILIO LATINO DE WASHINGTON COUNTY. This group is run by Lily Cáceres who we pay to be in charge of the "Office of Minority Services" for the Oregon Youth Authority.

I know it's strange, I also didn't realize that an agency in charge of locking up juvenille delinquents needed such an office.

But back to my disapointment. It looks as if I must wait another month for the next calendar to see if I will be included.

NOTE: I would try to sneak in to one of these events but I heard rumors that Serena Cruz stands at the doorway with one of those paint color sample sticks that you get at home depot and she holds it up to your face to make sure your color is darker than 3P...

A normal office memo in Portland...

Explicit Complaint Against Police Chief Released
The nine-page complaint against Chief Derrick Foxworth, released Wednesday morning, is shocking.

Be warned that much of it contains very graphic e-mails that Angela Oswalt claims were sent to her by Foxworth, beginning in the year 2000 when Foxworth was her commanding officer.

Millions of women everywhere have put down their trashy romance novels to instead read emails from Portland Police Chief Derrick Foxworth.

Ring ring... it's for your Serena

Reaching out to the Latino Community - A Starting Point
Many people call our office asking "how can I begin to connect with active members of the Latino community in and around Multnomah County?"

Oh yes, I make phone calls like that all the time. Oh wait, no I don't... I'm not some bigot who thinks that various races have their own "communties." Last time I checked, the community I lived in was made up of all kinds of people and we don't segregate.

I would also question the legality of the list of "service providers" that Serena has. Taxpayer dollars fund that website and she gets to put links up to whatever racist group she wants?

Can I ask a public official to link to my blog or Oregon.gov or other site?

I knew there was a reason that Oregon worked

OREGON WORKS BECAUSE IMMIGRANTS WORK!
A million mobilized in Los Angeles, 100,000 in Chicago, and thousands in Portland and dozens of cities. Now it is time to mobilize in Salem as Congress decides on a legalization program or criminalization for the 12 million undocumented immigrants.

sponsored in part by: SEIU Local 503

And of course the usual folks at PCUN, CAUSA, etc.

They said it, our choices are legalization or criminalization (it's already a crime but anyways...) and there is no "middle ground" or compromise bill. Either we enforce our laws, retain our soveriengty and refuse to allow a bunch of rapists continue to steal from this country or we give in to criminal alien apologists, diversity nuts and failed businessmen who can't make a profit without breaking the law.

My vote is for criminalization. What's yours?

I'd rather go to the DMV

Going to the doctor's office is horrible. You have a 2:00pm appointment and they won't even let you into that terrible little room until 2:45pm. At that point the nurse says that "the doctor will be right with you" which is a complete lie.

This splitting up of the wait time is similair to how government taxes you, they take most of your money but they do it in so many ways you don't really notice.

So when the doctor finally comes into the room at 3:15pm he spends about two minutes confirming what you already knew: your kid has an ear infection and needs antibiotics. Same thing as last time. Here's a prescription and oh yeah, a bill for $80.

The most maddening part of the whole ordeal is that you knew the kid had an ear infection. The kid gets one every 3 months like clockwork. You knew he needed an antibiotic just like last time. And you knew that you were going to have to waste half your day and $80 just to get it.

That's why I'm so encouraged by the mini doctor's offices that they are opening in places like Walgreens. A nurse is perfectly capable of telling you that your kid has an ear infection and writing a prescription. And while I haven't been to one of these places I'm sure that it costs less than the doctor's office or urgent care.

The best part: Walgreens opens one of these and charges $65 for the diagnosis, then the Rite-Aid down the street opens one and charges $55. Presto! You have some competition. Something that I believe is sorely lacking in the medical provider arena.

Think about it, when was the last time you stopped going to a certain doctor's office because they made you wait a half hour past your appointment? When was the last time you stopped ordering pizza from someplace because they were a half hour late delivering? See?

Me, I'm hoping that every Wal-Mart, Safeway, Albertsons and Taco Bell opens one of these mini doctor's offices and we show those white coat wearing bastards that we don't have to wait in some germ filled room reading People magazine to get an antibiotic for our kid's ear infection.
