Oregon student wins racist pageant

Miss Teen Oregon Latina United States wins the title of Miss Teen Latina United States 2005
Vania Corona, Miss Teen Oregon Latina United States, has won the national title of Miss Teen Latina United States 2005.

Vania is currently a full time college student. She also spends her time doing volunteer work, especially in the Latino community. Although she has a busy schedule fulfilling her duties as the reigning Miss Teen Latina United States 2005, she finds time to do the things she likes best: modeling, sharing time with her friends and dancing.

Imagine if I said that I do volunteer work... especially in the white community. It's interesting how there is a pageant for one ethnicity, a television network for people with one skin color, and taxpayer funded "advocacy" groups for a specific gender, but by making a list of illegal aliens who are in jail (a list that does not single out skin color, ethnicity, gender, but judges people on their behavior) somehow I'm called the racist.

Very well put, Daniel. The door swings both ways.

just in case anybody was wondering, the definition of racism according to dictionary.com...

#1 The belief that race accounts for differences in human character or ability and that a particular race is superior to others.
#1 Discrimination or prejudice based on race.

Robin is wrong, in the USA today, and for many years, the door only swings one way and if you are "right minded" and have removed your make believe rose colored glasses it slams in your face.
Why do we have to pretend that all cultures are equally successful when that is not true?

I just wonder what the left would say if there was a Miss White USA pagent?

excuse me, but doesn't the left 'assume' everything white people do is only for them?

it's called 'projection'; what they do themselves, they expect us to do back.

we all do it with the people around us to some extent, but some of us presume more good and understanding of people than liberals have capacity for...

Just wanted to throw out a congratulations to this girl for winning a national pagaent and apparently representing Oregon well, and point out that nobody is grilling HER (not yet, at least), jsut the discriminatory format of the pagaent itself.

That's what I love about you Bryan. The constant double standard!

So now someone is claiming to be me? Good Daniel. The following was not said by me:

"we demand a vote!
well, except for those pesky Bush nominees..."

For the record I had no opinion on the whole Bush nominee issue. You simply assume. You are good at that. So on that note - this is exactly what your side was bitching about and now it is happening in our own state. Hypocritical. Do not group me into that debate - and do not post comments posing to be me.

By the way - notice above on the comment that I did not post... my picture is not there, therefore not said by me. Leave it to you all to do such a thing. Very Rove of you.

Wow, a little "that wasn't me" would have been sufficient.

You have no opinion on the Bush nominee? You would be ok if he nominated Ann Coulter?

I don't think that it matters whether the House votes on SB1000 or not. If they don't vote you're not satified and you call them bigots. If they vote it down you're not satisfied and you call them bigots. You don't think that it has the votes to pass do you?

Let's not get off topic again re: nominees

I am not only thinking that we have the votes - I am telling you. At this point, right now. We do have the votes.

One more thing that I should have included.

Daniel - why don't we then just rbing it to a vote and see let the majority decide. Are you afraid? I can tell you riight now that it would pass if brought to a vote. So let's do it. Once and for all - let's settle this.
